Personal Insurance

Personal insurance from a family-owned independent agency based in Firestone, Colorado, and licensed in 31 states. We help renters, homeowners, pet owners and families protect what they’ve built.

Chelsea Insurance Services is a family-owned independent insurance agency. That means we aren’t tied to one insurance company’s products. When you call, you talk with the people who will actually work on your coverage, not a call center.

Most families need a combination of policies that work together: a home or renters policy for your property and liability, and often a personal umbrella over the top. If you have a dog, a rental property or a home that other companies won’t write, there may be options, depending on the property and the market.

Our priority coverages

Which coverage do you need?

  • You rent: renters insurance covers your belongings and personal liability, not the building.
  • You own a house: homeowners insurance covers the home, your belongings and your liability.
  • You want more liability protection: a personal umbrella adds limits above your auto and home or renters policies.
  • You have a dog with a bite history or a landlord requirement: dog liability insurance may help.
  • You want help with your pet’s vet bills: pet health insurance helps pay for covered accidents and illnesses.
  • You own a rental, a vacant home or a hard-to-insure property: see the coverages below and ask us.

How we help

We start by listening: what you own, who lives with you, what worries you, and what your current policies say. Then we compare options from insurance companies suited to your situation and walk you through the differences in plain English, including deductibles, exclusions and how claims are settled. You decide what fits.

Already insured? Send us your current declarations pages before your renewal. A second look can catch gaps, like a missing endorsement or a liability limit that no longer fits your household. Moving, buying, adding a teen driver or getting a dog are all good times to review.
